I couldn't help but notice how successful (and impactful) the SMS campaign put together by mGive and the American Red Cross is going.
To date, they have raised over $20 million is donations via txt message donations.

The point of bringing this up for discussion is that SMS shows to be the most commonly used form of mobile communication compared to voice, MMS and mobile apps.
There are a several reasons that I believe enforce this point; the first being convenience with anonymity coming in at a close second.
